The 21st Park Run took place in a sunbathed Waterworks Park on Saturday morning.
On a quiet day for local fixtures, an enthusiastic crowd of nearly 200 turned out for the start.
Paul Carroll (Annadale Striders) took an early lead and maintained it, although Conor Curran was making good ground towards the end of the race. Carroll won in 16.24 from Curran in 16.34. Both runners will be looking for much faster times on Wednesday night at Queens.
David Patton from Edinburgh Club Corstophine AAC was third with Conor McMullan (Annadale) and Brendan Grew (unattached) making up the top 5.
Young Conall MacCambridge ran a huge personal best to take 9th place in 18.43 and a hatful of more “experienced” scalps. Track training is obviously paying off..
