Darryl Blair finally put together a performance worthy of his training this morning with an easy win in 16.45.
Comfortable throughout, Darryl was never challenged as he recorded a new personal best.
Paddy Hamill was the next harrier home in 4th place (17:52) but he will go quicker once the Belfast Marathon is out of his legs.
This morning also witnessed good performances from Davy Brady (pb in 18.10), Eoin McQuillan’s comeback (19.05) and Mark Sturgeon’s first outing over the Park Run circut (19.13).
The latter two harriers will be keen to get a few consistent weeks of training done now that they are running pain free again.
Coach Eddie Bell ran his first race for the club coming home in a very respectable 19.28 for 13th place ahead of Greg McClure (15th), Claire Connor (16th) and Bob Irvine (22nd).
