This will be an unusually quiet weekend in racing terms. However, it will give Harriers a chance for some further training before a busy period of road races later this month.
On Saturday, Park Run @ the Waterworks is hosting a “RUN FREE” event, sponsored by Lucozade Lite.
The idea is that participants take someone new along to the race, run in fancy dress and hang around after for some light refreshments.
We have managed to arrange for tea & coffee facilities at the end of the race. The perfect way to kick off a Saturday morning…(all we need now are free bacon sandwiches and guaranteed pb’s).

Next week will see a return to action on the roads.
The Craigavon 10km takes place on Wednesday night around the Craigavon Watersports Centre on a fast, flat course favoured by pb hunters.
Harriers will be sending a few runners to the event.
Conor Curran will be looking to trim a few more seconds off his personal best and mix it with the top end of the field while Davy Brady, Gerry McNamara, Steven Walker and Cathy McCourt are also down to run at the popular mid-week event.
In other news, the club held its AGM last weekend. Thanks to everyone who turned up. It was good to see so many people taking an active interest in the club.
Matt has sent an email to all club members asking for help on a number of important tasks. PLEASE respond to Matt directly if you are able to help in any way possible.
