Starting 18/02/13 we are running a ten week program on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6.30 pm using the outdoor track at Girls Model School
The initiative is targeting people who are currently inactive. The objective will be to prepare the participants to run 5K at a local parkrun in ten weeks’ time. The course will not train people already capable of running 5K to improve their time but they are welcome to attend if they so wish.
There will be a small fee £1-£2 depending on numbers to cover cost of track hire etc
Participants should wear appropriate foot wear and due to sessions being outdoors a change of dry cloths may be desirable
Typically there will be a five minute warm up followed by intermittent running and finally static stretching and cool down. Total duration will initially be 30-40 min.
