A massive thank you to the unofficial parkrun volunteers. The volunteers were Sinead Toal, Frankey McGivern, Shane Carr, Samuel Carr, Katie McCambridge, Caitlin Maguire, Kerri-louise Murray, Trisha Murray, Gabrielle Thompson, Jansje LeMahieu-Lamb and Suzanne Gilmore.
Parkrun was followed later that day by bouldering which is following a river or stream upstream, climbing up small waterfalls and jumping off boulders into natural pools. I’m hoping all the kids had as much fun as I had. It was BBQ for dinner, courtesy of CYP, and then because nobody got quite wet enough bouldering, it was time for a water fight and water slide. This was followed by building and lighting a campfire, toasting marshmallows and for some children, sleeping as little as possible.

I’ve said it already but I think it deserves to be said again, that all those on the camp behaved extremely well, noted also by CYP staff. They are all a credit to North Belfast Harriers and of course to their parents.
