Weekly Report 17th July – From the Shore to the Summit

Shore 10k, Killough

Monday evening saw the running of the annual 10k in Killough, Co. Down. A scenic course, was enjoyed by Greg McClure who finished just outside the top ten in 11th with 41:39. Followed by Jim Clinton, 27th in 45:04

 

Victoria Park 5k, Belfast

Tuesday morning saw nearly 100 runners take on 3 laps of Victoria Park for the inaugural NI Duathlon organised Victorian Park 5k. Starting and finishing at the Sam Thompson Bridge, the club was well represented through the field. Kent and Roisin both ran well and placed 2nd on their respective podiums.

Sea 2 Sky 10k, Newcastle

Friday evening, and over 800 runners took on the 5th annual running of the multi-terrain event Sea 2 Sky. The 10k route offers a unique challenge and after climbing from the promenade into the forest, the runners can enjoy the views and fast descent back to the seafront. A large number of Harriers made the trip down to Newcastle and earned their well deserved bottle opening bling.
