NI & Ulster Senior Cross-Country Championships, Lurgan Park
Saturday afternoon saw the finale of the local cross-country season with the 6k women’s and 12k men’s races in Lurgan Park. Despite the deluge of rain that had fallen in the previous twenty-four hours, the ground conditions weren’t as bad as previous years and the sun even made an appearance. Twenty Harriers travelled down the M1 to compete both individually and as club teams.
The ladies race was won in 22:48 and North Down AC took all three podium places to also secure the team prize. Louise Smith finished in 9th place to lead home the Harriers team who placed 6th in the highly competitive team competition.
