Larne AC Coastal Marathon

Larne Athletic Club are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year and as part of our celebrations, they organised the Antrim Coast Road Marathon. This race was originally held back in the 1980’s and was named the Nescafe Coast Road Marathon with running legend Ron Hill, being one of those who took part in it. The weather was beautiful for family and friends to cheer the runners along the route from Cushendall to Larne leisure centre. However it was gruelling to be running in such intense, temperatures. Congratulations to those all those who completed especially Stephen Walker who led the NBH contingent home in 24th position in 03:20:32. As Greg McClure continues running his numerous marathons, Geraldine Murphy completed her first marathon.
