From Runways to Lakes, our Harriers experienced a variety of terrains this week.
10th May 2019 Run The Runways
Scrabo Striders Running Club hosted the novel Run the Runways race. This dual event comprises 5km and 10km chip-timed race around the taxi ways and three runways of Newtownards Airfield. The totally flat course is just made for getting a new personal best!
Congratulations go to Gareth Lyons for winning the 5k race.

10th May 2019 Run a Mile with Mary
This is the inaugural Run a Mile with Mary event. Taking place at the Mary Peter’s Track, all proceeds go to the Mary Peter’s Trust.
The event is a series of ‘Fun Miles’ which are open to all and will have a series of time slots during the day.

11th May 2019 3 Lakes Challenge
This 15K course took runners around the picturesque route of Ballydugan, Magheralagan and Loughinisland lakes.
Fresh from winning the Run the Runways race, Gareth Lyons also took first place in the 3 Lakes Challenge. Congratulations again Gareth.

Sun 12th May Strabane & Lifford Half Marathon
The 6th Strabane Lifford Half Marathon took place on Sunday 12th May.
The cross-border event, organised by Derry City and Strabane District Council in conjunction with Lifford Strabane AC started and ended in Strabane, crossing the border into Lifford, Co Donegal.
Two Harriers ran the very hilly course: Nat Glenn and Elaine Holmes with Nat winning the Vet 50s category. Well done to both.
