As the number of hours of daylight increases, so too does the number of races in the calendar. There was running all over the place this week and the yellow vest featured from Foyle Valley to Manchester.

The course took the usual route along the cycle path by the River Foyle at Brandywell and was flat and fast. Congratulations to Mark.
Les Jones 10K Memorial (17 May)
In its 28th year, this popular race organised in memory of the late athlete and Athletics NI Chairman got underway at Mary Peter’s Track. On Friday night, running conditions were perfect for Stephen Wylie and Gemma McDonald who claimed the top spots. The course took runners out from the track onto the tow path, towards Shaw’s Bridge and finished with the infamous hill finish of Barnett’s Demesne before returning to the finish line back at MPT. Gareth Lyons from the club finished in second place.
