The third and final race of the series took place on Tuesday night. Paul Horan 28:24 placed 2nd on the night but won the series overall by 30 seconds. Colin Simpson also ran on Tuesday finishing in 36:30 over the 5 Mile Trail Race.
Irish Runner 5 Mile (Irish National Champs)
North Belfast Harriers were well represented at the Irish National 5 Mile Championships in Phoenix Park on Saturday and collected National titles. Mark McKinstry placed 4th and 1st M35, Eamon White was 1st M50 and David Clarke was 1st M55. There was also a strong team performance with Philip Goss, Joe Malone and Conal McCambridge all finishing in the top 30. Carol Clarke was 2nd F50.

EAMS 6-Hour Challenge Part 2
Friday night 6pm Loughshore, Jordanstown was again the setting for part two of the East Antrim Marathon Series 6-hour challenge to run to Gideon’s Green and back as many times in the 6 hours. After heavy rain showers falling in the first two hours of the challenge club members Simon Reeve, Greg McClure and Gordon Glenn kept pace into the fading light. Simon, after 3 hours 30 minutes and 26.2 miles called it a day whilst Greg and Gordon – following on from last Fridays Part 1, continued…
…Gordon also completed the full marathon distance in 5:14:22 whilst Greg covered 7 laps and 30 miles in 5:12:50.

Showers, Scotland and Strabane. North Belfast Harriers ran at numerous events on Saturday morning including Edinburgh and the inaugural Holy Cross College parkrun in Strabane. Most of the local courses had additional water features after the summer showers from Friday evening. Congratulations to any milestones or PBs that were picked up on Saturday.
