North Belfast Harriers Weekly Report 2nd -8th September 2019

Transitioning between Summer and Autumn, the first full week of September saw plenty of sunshine and showers and Harriers at numerous races and locations this week.

Inter Area Road Race Stirling 10k
Representing Northern Ireland and Ulster, Conan McCaughey finished 11th overall in 30:29, helping the Men’s Team to Bronze behind Scotland and the North of England.

Dingle Marathon
Terence McAtamney completed Ireland’s Most Scenic Marathon around the rugged coastline of the Dingle Peninsula in 4:14:59

East Antrim Series (EAMS) 100th Event
EAMS celebrated their 100th event on Saturday around the challenging Greenisland course. Padraigin Bingeam was first female in the 10k. Greg McClure completed the marathon in 3:50:05 and Gordon Glenn also ran the marathon ahead of Sundays Great North Run

Glencoe Half Marathon

Helen Weir ran the very undulating course, with rocky boulder sections on Sunday. The weather conditions were kind, although wet underfoot with a few river crossings. Helen was 17th out of nearly 200 overall  and 3rd lady in 2:05:44
