Race Report
News in brief…
Blink and you’ll miss it this week. Junior parkrun was postponed to make room for the marathon and with no other race activity, it just left the 5km parkrun on Saturday. That said, the juniors were well represented with Orán Steele, Thomas Coy and Cormac Leheny all taking part.
5km Parkrun – 2nd October 2021
Congratulations to Thomas and Cormac, both breaking through the 22 minute barrier and notching up new personal best’s in the process.

With clubs representing from all over Ulster there is always a great atmosphere at these events and the kids will get a thrill from taking part. All entries will be paid by the club but the deadline is looming so please don’t leave it too late.

…And Finally
Quick shout out to fellow report writer Seamus, who took on the big one this weekend. Leheny senior took to the streets of Belfast for a swift 26.2 miles and managed to set a new PB in the process. It seems that chasing your children around the Waterworks does indeed derive some health benefits. Not sure who will have the bragging rights in the household after Cormac’s 5km PB but sure they can race each other for it. Well done Seamus and to everyone that took part in the marathon or the relay today!
