Waterworks 5km Park Run
No less than 3 new and very impressive PBs set at the Waterworks 5km this weekend. Matthew is now officially on a PB streak whilst Cormac knocked the best part of 2 mins off his previous standard and Eimear nearly 30 seconds. Orán, Thomas and Oisín cruised home in close succession showing the strength and consistency they have developed at this distance. Congratulations to all who took part. Great way to start the weekend.

Waterworks 2km Park Run
Going 1 better than the 5km parkrun, the juniors set a further 4 new PBs at the 2km event this weekend! Congratulations to all who took part. It was a McConnell 1-2 with Eoin entering 3rd on the all time list by dipping under 7 minutes and Senan breaking 8 for the first time. Niall and Erin came in close to their own PBs showing consistency and good placing. Sadie and Rachel comfortably set new PBs whilst young Max made his debut as a junior Harrier at the event. Well done all fantastic times.

Queens Around the River 3km
With the brighter evenings making a comeback, mid-week racing returned with the Queens event which loops around the Lagan at the Annadale Embankment. Flat loops with long straights makes for fast, competitive racing and good spectating. The 3km is the opener for the 5km and saw both Max and Isla delivering excellent performances in the NBH vests.
Thanks to Seamus and the coaches for compiling and issuing the updated summer track training schedule complete with details of upcoming races. Please share with your athletes and feel free to ask the coaches if you have any queries on the plans.
Please note that there will be no training on Thursday 14th (Easter hols), Tuesday 19th (Easter hols) and Thursday 21st April (Firmus).

The ever popular Firmus track meet schedule is now available for booking online.

NBH Afternoon of 5kms
North Belfast Harriers are pleased to announce that our Afternoon of 5000s event will return to Mary Peters Belfast on the 23rd April 2022. Building on the success of our 2021 event, we plan to improve both the athlete and spectator experience and create a superb day of athletics here in Belfast.
