This Thursday will see the next round of the Lagan Valley AC Meet at Mary Peters Track
The last event was excellent with some of our youngsters doing really well.
Hopefully we will see as many kids as possible compete. For those not competing, they are welcome to come and watch and maybe they might decide to give it a go the next time.
Reminder – there is no training this Thursday due to this event.
Summer 2022 Camps at the Mary Peter’s Track
StarTrack is Athletics NI’s flagship grassroots programme, which aims to introduce children and young people aged 8- 15 years old to the sport and help them to develop their running, jumping and throwing skills.
Week One: Tuesday 19th July – Friday 22nd July
Week Two: Tuesday 26th July – Friday 29th July
Week Three: Tuesday 2nd August – Friday 5th August
Cost: £60 each week (4 days)
Time: 10am – 2.00pm
Registration is available here: https://ani.opentrack.run/en-gb/x/2022/GBR/summer-startrack/
It would be great if the kids could attend at least one of these summer schemes. It gives them an opportunity to try other track and field events which they may not be used to e.g. hurdles, long jump, javelin, high jump etc.
