North Belfast Harriers Junior Report 5th June 2022

A busy week for the junior stags with training and races coming thick and fast in the heart of track season. First up was the Firmus meet at Mary Peters track on Thursday night.  This is a great series giving our young athletes a taste of various events like the hurdleshigh jump, and shot. Isla Wiltshire came 3rd over the 70m fences and her younger brother Ethan came third in the 60m dash.  Max Reid also came first in the 3000m U17 race on the night.

The All Ireland Schools Track and Field Championships 4th June 

We had some stags making it all the way to Tullamore to represent their schools yesterday.

Junior Boys 200m – Saul Thompson 7th 25th

Girls discus – Leah Horan 11th 21.70m

Senior Girls 3000m – Roise Roberts 3rd 9.59

Senior Boys 5000m Matthew Lavery 5th 15.30 and Luke Kelly 7th 15.59

Waterworks Parkrun

Plenty of young stags using the 5k route as their weeked run and its great to see them all getting to know and chatting with our senior members.
