Training
The coaches and the kids will be taking a well-earned break from training at the track for a few weeks and training will start back in August at the Girls Model again. Details will be confirmed in the parents WhatsApp in due course.
Looking back and what a year so far for the young Stags who have graced cross country races in Donegal, Belfast, Comber, Larne, Armagh, Antrim, Kilkenny and Dublin as well as dozens of track events. It’s been great to see the numbers at training grow and with that seeing more of the yellow vests at those events. Every single one of the juniors has done the club proud and they’ll only get better with the training.
The coaches advice for the July break is for the kids to enjoy their Summer and if they really enjoy going out for runs up over a mountain, through the incoming tide or along forest trails then that is exactly what they should do but not overdo it as we all need down time to recuperate.

Reporters Summer break
Well folks the writers of the weekly run reports will also be kicking back over July and taking a well-earned rest and we’ll return with the run reports in August. We hope our reports have been informative and helped spread the joy and positivity that our club gives our juniors and their families. Big thanks to my fellow run report team members Conor Curran, Ciaran Browne, Barry Reid, Dermot Coy and Andrew Steele, we’ve covered each other’s backs with all the numerous results and photos for the reports!
Enjoy July everyone and we’ll see you in August!
