At North Belfast Harriers, we believe in helping young people from our area get into athletics.
Our sessions are designed to be fun and improve fitness. It is really important to us that children enjoy the training we provide, whether they want to pursue athletics in the future or not.
This page has details of our training evenings, venues and coaches.
Why should your child come along to our nights?
Training and competing in events is a great way to improve your child’s health, confidence and social skills.

It can also improve their self esteem and it can help break down social barriers – as they will meet children from different schools and areas.
We believe that every young person has an ability – and we actively encourage children to fulfil their potential through structured training and guidance from experience and vetted coaches.
North Belfast Harriers is one of approved athletics clubs in Northern Ireland which has Club Mark NI Accreditation.
This means that we have vetted, qualified and accredited coaches (male and female) who coach local children through structured training programmes which are fun and tailored to all abilities.
Our coaches are:
Andrew, Margaret, Jimmy, Davey, Lynn, Michelle, Matthew and Séamus
